Trim a Shrub for Safety

The "Trim a Shrub for Safety" campaign was designed to improve neighborhood traffic safety. Traffic signs and sidewalks blocked by branches and shrubbery are safety hazards and we encourage homeowners to survey their properties and either trim back overgrown vegetation, or contact their local municipality to notify them of the problem.

In particular we encourage homeowners to look for:

  • Branches that hide signs in front of their homes
  • Plants that obstruct side street visibility
  • Shrubs that extend onto the sidewalk

"Trim a Shrub for Safety" campaign bookmarks are available by contacting your local AAA club.
